A 'Clean' Comic Explains How She Jokes For Jesus

I was asked to write about the growing trend of Clean Comedy and interview Australia's 'queen of clean', Hannah Boland, for VICE's women's site, Broadly, when they launched their Australia/New Zealand channel.

The article discussed how the idea and restrictions of 'clean' comedy seem to go against the very notion of comedy, and asked Boland how she makes it work.

It also looked at personal branding, and the lengths Boland has gone to to market herself—first as a 'Christian Comedian, and now as a Clean Comedian—and how, comparatively, some of the world's most successful comedians who are known to 'work clean', haven't done this.
