I'm Sarah Gooding, a copywriter and creative based in New York City. I am endlessly curious and creative, and I love working with brands to tell compelling stories.
I was born and raised in New Zealand, but moved to the United States in 2017 after living in Melbourne, Australia for five years. I'm now a Permanent Resident. I'm also a child of the internet—I started writing via a music blog called Einstein Music Journal, which I co-founded and edited from 2007 to 2012. It's now archived in New Zealand's National Library.
Since then I've worked for advertising and marketing agencies including BBDO, Superfly, The Mixx, Beyond, eg+ Worldwide and Byte. I've conceptualized, developed and executed digital, print and experiential content in music, entertainment, travel, technology, fashion, beauty and CPG. Brands I've worked with include American Express, Red Bull, Smirnoff, essence cosmetics, Snapchat, Spotify, Pandora, Twitch and Moda Operandi. I've also contributed to publications including Rolling Stone, The Fader, The Guardian, VICE and i-D. My favorite projects involve the internet, technology, pop culture, music, subcultures and entertainment.
