Writing and Associate Producing for Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival
Outside Lands is the largest independent music and arts festival in the US, with 200,000 attendees over 3 days in San Francisco.
I've been fortunate to work on it a couple of times now.
Most recently I worked as Writer & Associate Producer on the official live stream on Twitch (sponsored by Levi’s and M&M’s), which attracted nearly 6 million views. I worked both remotely in New York in the lead-up to the festival, and on-site in San Francisco.
My duties included:

Researching and recommending artists to feature via performance and/or interview on the Twitch live stream

Collaborating on live show creative packages with creative director and executive producer

Pre-scripting live stream comments in the voice of Outside Lands and the two festival mascots

Writing supers, daily scripts, and artist interview outlines for live stream hosts and special guests

Monitoring and writing in the live stream chat as the voice of Outside Lands and the two festival mascots
I also worked on a previous iteration of the festival as a Copywriter with their partner agency Superfly.
My duties in this role included:

Writing copy for social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter), email marketing, the official website and more

Working with brand managers, social media managers, project managers and designers

Drawing on my deep knowledge of music and marketing to write entertaining and engaging copy for interactive social media posts

Delivering copy to briefs and deadlines

Populating the editorial calendar

Working with tone of voice guidelines to ensure brand consistency across all marketing collateral
